Our Sportsground & Turf Maintenance team plays a critical role in maintaining safe, functional and well‑presented sports fields and reserves across the city. We’re looking for someone who brings strong turf knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a positive contribution to team culture.

About the role

As a Team Member – Sportsground & Turf Maintenance, you’ll deliver proactive and reactive turf and grounds maintenance across sportsgrounds, ovals and reserves.

Your work will include coordinating and delivering mowing, turf care and seasonal changeovers, inspecting playing surfaces for safety and condition, monitoring turf health, and supporting irrigation maintenance. You’ll operate tractors and relevant attachments, assist with line marking and sports setup, and help maintain public spaces to a high standard of presentation.

This role also provides opportunities to scope and plan turf activities, support internal stakeholders with technical advice, and mentor other team members in best practice turf maintenance and changeover procedures. You may rotate across City Operations teams during peak periods, making collaboration and flexibility important.

About you

You’re passionate about turf quality and understand the importance of safe, reliable playing surfaces for community sport.

You’ll ideally have a background in sports turf management or a similar environment, along with the relevant qualifications or experience. Just as importantly, you’re someone who takes ownership of your work, supports others, and contributes positively to team culture.

You’re someone who:

• Takes pride in delivering high‑quality turf and playing surfaces
• Understands seasonal turf requirements and safety expectations

• Is comfortable working outdoors in all conditions 

A Certificate III in Sports Turf Management and experience with irrigation systems, line marking, turf renovation works, and operating tractors or attachments will be highly regarded.

What you will get to do

As Community Meal Services Coordinator, you will:

• Coordinate the daily operations of the Grenville Hub kitchen, dining room, café and meal delivery services.
• Support the delivery of fresh and frozen meals to older community members through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).
• Support volunteers and operational staff technical skills, food quality and presentation and meal service delivery
• Ensure exceptional customer service and positive dining experiences.
• Coordinate menu planning, stock control, purchasing and supplier coordination.
• Maintain food safety, HACCP and compliance standards.
• Monitor service quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

About the Role

This is a senior technical role where you will play a key part in guiding complex building and compliance outcomes across a diverse and rapidly growing council area.

The position offers a salary starting from $108,080 plus superannuation, with remuneration negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

You will work across a broad mix of commercial, industrial, residential and community developments, providing high level technical advice and contributing to high quality development outcomes across the city.

This role offers a mix of technical work, leadership, stakeholder engagement and problem solving. You will also have the opportunity to mentor developing Building Surveyors, influence process improvements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Building & Compliance team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing expert advice on complex building and compliance matters
• Supporting enforcement activities and representing Council where required
• Supporting the operation of the Council’s Building Fire Safety Committee
• Mentoring and guiding building surveyors within the team
• Helping the team manage workloads and priorities
• Supporting reporting, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Undertaking commercial building inspections and Building Rules assessments
• Working closely with builders, developers, consultants and internal teams to achieve practical outcomes

About You

You are an experienced Building Surveyor who enjoys solving problems, building strong professional relationships and contributing to a positive team culture.

You bring strong technical capability, confidence in decision making, and a practical approach to navigating legislation and compliance matters. You are also someone who enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting others and contributing to continuous improvement.

To be successful, you will have:

• Accreditation as a Building Surveyor Level 1 or Level 2 (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in building compliance, and the assessment and inspection of commercial and residential buildings
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including:
  • Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016
  • National Construction Code and Australian Standards
• Experience in enforcement activities and preparing statutory notices/orders
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• A current Class C Driver’s Licence 

Supervisory or mentoring experience will be highly regarded.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional and customer focused Manager to join our Governance team, who provide Civic and Corporate Governance expertise to the organisation. In this role, you will work collaboratively across the organisation to support the achievement of Council’s Strategic Plan.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping governance practices and strengthening organisational integrity across Council.

As Manager - Governance, you will operate as a trusted advisor in governance related matters, including providing strategic oversight of governance frameworks, legislative compliance and decision-making processes that underpin Council’s effectiveness and community trust.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide expert advice on governance, policy, compliance and legislative matters
  Lead and develop a multidisciplinary governance team, fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture
• Oversee Council and Committee governance functions, including agenda management and statutory compliance
• Drive modern governance practices, including digital governance systems and process improvement initiatives
• Manage and enhance the Policy Governance Framework and organisational governance roadmap

This position has a regular requirement to attend Council and Committee meetings, therefore after-hours work is a requirement of the position.

About You
