Immunisation Nurse

Part Time / 2-year Fixed Term Contract

Classification Level: GO4 ($92,291.26 FTE + Superannuation)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Immunisation Nurse to join our Environmental Health & Immunisation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering vaccines, providing patient education, and ensuring the highest standards of care.

About the Role

 

In this role you will: 

  • Administer vaccines at community clinics and secondary schools as part of the annual vaccination program.
  • Provide information about vaccinations and their benefits in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide community education and advice to consumers and other allied health professionals.
  • Support the Community Immunisation Nurse. Coordinator to ensure compliance with service delivery standards and demands 

About You 

  • Registered Nurse with the ability to work independently to provide immunisation clinics with demonstrated solid working knowledge of common vaccines.
  • People are at the heart of everything you do – your team, your internal and external customers, and your community.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, including the ability to work effectively with the community and organisational stakeholders.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks. 

Incumbents in this position are required to possess a National Criminal History Clearance and DCSI Clearance.
