The Job: Events & Activation Lead ✨

As the Events & Activation Lead at the City of Playford, you will be the driving force behind leading the coordination and delivery of our inclusive Council events and activations. 

Your goal? To support the successful delivery of community events that increase the vibrancy of our city and enrich the lives of our community.

What you’ll be doing 🏆

• Leading the coordination and delivery of community events including Australia Day, Community Carols, Anzac Day Service, Citizenship Ceremonies, and other activations.
• Conceptualizing, planning, and delivering inclusive and accessible events to ensure our diverse community can access and participate.
• Leading coordination of event logistics, including venue, catering, transportation, VIP guests and technical provisions.
• Leading post event analysis, service reporting, and formal debriefing.
• Evaluating events and applying data insights, feedback, and sentiment to improve the success of events and activations.

What you’ll bring to our team 🚀

We would love it if you had a qualification in Events Management, but if you have equivalent experience in leading the success of community events and activations, we want to hear from you!

You will also have:

• Strong written and verbal communication with a customer focused approach, with the ability to develop, nurture and maintain strong relationships. 
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environments, making you always on the ball.
• Innovative and creative thinking to help with staying ahead of the curve and translating ideas into incredible actions.
• Availability to work an out of hours roster including weekends and public holidays as required.
