Full Time / Ongoing Classification: GO8 ($129,904 + Superannuation) The City of Playford is seeking a dedicated Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of city-wide civil infrastructure projects, ensuring successful delivery from concept through to handover. About the Role As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee a defined program of projects, which may include roads, footpaths, stormwater infrastructure, parks, sporting and community buildings. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, in alignment with the City of Playford’s Project Management Framework. In addition to managing your own portfolio of projects, you will provide leadership and guidance to a team of Project Managers, fostering an engaged and high-performing environment. Key Responsibilities - Deliver capital works projects from concept to completion, meeting agreed cost, time, and quality requirements and in accordance with Council’s Project Management Framework
- Lead and coach Project Managers, ensuring successful delivery of their programs of work
- Develop and monitor project plans, budgets, and timelines
- Procure and manage contractors, consultants, and engineers in line with legislative and procurement requirements
- Prepare professional reports, documentation, and grant funding submissions
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety standards and Council policies
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You You are a proactive leader who thrives on accountability and collaboration. You will bring a degree in Civil Engineering, Building and Construction, or a related field, in addition to extensive experience in infrastructure delivery and project management.
