Active Inclusion Coordinator

Part Time / Fixed Term to 30 June 2026

Classification: GO3 ($84,087.57 FTE + Superannuation)

What you’ll be doing

 

We are seeking a passionate team member in the role of Active Inclusion Coordinator to work within our National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funded programs. This role is Part-Time at 0.8FTE with the successful applicant working Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays with the opportunity for additional hours on Saturdays.

 

The Active Inclusion Coordinator plans and delivers NDIS funded social support groups, as well as other social inclusion programs and activities that support people with disability to increase their connections with community in alignment with their goals. Your key accountabilities will include: 

  • Plan and deliver social inclusion programs for people with disability in consultation with participants that maximise independence, build capacity, promote community inclusion and adhere to relevant legislation and Standards.
  • Provide support to participants using a person-centred approach to encourage active involvement in activities, support achievement of goals and build community capacity.
  • Maintain and regularly review participant records and information using person-centred methodology and tools.
  • Recruit, induct, train and provide ongoing coordination and support for volunteers and contractors including delegation of work to meet program and organisational requirements.
  • Ensure all information captured is recorded in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the NDIS Practice Standards, guidelines and legislation.  

What you’ll bring to the role

 

We are looking for someone with relevant qualifications and/or experience in the disability support field.

 

In addition, you will bring: 

  • Demonstrated experience in developing, planning and facilitating community programs and activities for people with disability designed to facilitate capacity building and community connection and inclusion.
  • Understanding of the principles of person-centred practice, active support and dignity of risk.
  • Sound understanding of social role valorisation, the social model of disability and equity principles.
  • Ability to build positive and professional relationships with target client group and wider team.
  • Commitment to the rights and personal development of people with a disability. 

This position requires a National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance. The successful applicant must satisfy or be willing to satisfy these requirements as part of the recruitment process.
