Northern Sound System (NSS) is a youth-focused hub for Music and the Creative Industries. Operated by the City of Playford, NSS uses music as a pathway to engage and empower young people, drawing on the rich musical heritage of Adelaide’s northern suburbs.  

The centre provides a wide range of activities, services, and programs that foster skill development for youth through an accessible, music-driven platform. 

About the Role… 

An exciting opportunity is available for a Music and Arts Project Support Officer to join our diverse and highly creative team. 

In this role, you will support the coordination and delivery of programs within the Creative Industries team at NSS, with a strong focus on music. Key responsibilities include: 

• Coordinate and facilitate music development with emerging artists at NSS
• Provide support for creative skill building programs and music events
• Contribute to the storytelling of NSS through social media platforms
• Work to achieve the intended outcomes for music programs funded by the Music Development Office
• Provide quality customer service face to face, by phone and social media with a focus on maintaining a positive brand image
• Foster positive relationships with music industry stakeholders and work collaboratively to empower emerging creative to engage in the arts.

You are dedicated to creating high-quality, youth-centred music programs, with a genuine enthusiasm for music development, events, and coordinating successful creative projects.
