About the role This is a great opportunity to join our ICT Service Solutions team based at our Playford Operations Centre as our GIS Analyst. The GIS Analyst manages and maintains the Council’s Geographic Information System (GIS) to support the organisation to achieve its goals and objectives. The position ensures the organisation optimises the benefits from GIS, contributes to corporate decision making and provides recommendations to satisfy the current and future requirements of Council. Whilst working with internal stakeholders to support, educate and action requests, the position also builds and maintains strong external relationships to keep abreast of GIS industry developments and advancements and ensure data is accurate and up to date. About You With experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and in the ESRI ArcGIS suite of products, you enjoy applying your skills and knowledge to support organisational goals and objectives. You have ability to build and maintain configurable mobile solutions using a range of ArcGIS mobile apps, develop and administer a geographic information system and collect, analyse and integrate GPS data. You possess strong verbal and written communication skills and deliver excellent customer service to your stakeholders through support, training and actioning work in a timely and accurate manner. You value strong stakeholder relationships to ensure your knowledge in your work is up to date to allow you to continuously improve the way you work. Whilst tertiary qualifications in spatial information related areas or Geographical Information Systems are highly regarded, applicants with equivalent experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Incumbents in this position must be willing to gain and possess a satisfactory National Criminal History Clearance.
