Why this role matters As a Risk Specialist, you will support the ongoing implementation and continuous improvement of Council's Integrated Risk Management Framework and Crisis Management Response Framework. Working across a diverse organisation, you will partner with leaders and stakeholders to strengthen risk awareness, improve organisational capability, and support preparedness for emerging challenges and critical incidents.
The Opportunity - Support the implementation, development and review of Council’s Integrated Risk Management Framework and Crisis Management Response Framework
- Provide practical advice and support on risk management and crisis management matters
- Deliver key risk and crisis management activities in line with legislative requirements and organisational priorities
- Develop resources, training and guidance to build risk capability across the organisation
- Prepare quality reports, correspondence and documentation for management, Council and relevant committees
- Build strong partnerships to ensure risk management practices remain fit for purpose and support organisational goals
Who you are - Experience in risk management, governance, compliance, crisis management or a related discipline
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- The ability to navigate complexity with sound judgement and professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in a related field
