The Opportunity - Work in collaboration with a large group of Planning, Engineering and Asset Management Officers
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, professional development and alignment with organisational values.
- Provide strategic leadership across service delivery, maintenance planning, programs, resources and operational performance to ensure community expectations are met.
- Lead the delivery of civil infrastructure maintenance programs across roads, stormwater, footpaths and related assets.
- Provide technical leadership and credibility in civil infrastructure management while championing a strong safety culture, WHS compliance and proactive risk management.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and service delivery excellence through effective planning, measurement and resource allocation.
- Oversee budgets, procurement activities, contractor performance and customer service outcomes to deliver value for money and quality community outcomes.
Who you are - Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and/or significant experience in civil infrastructure maintenance, delivery and asset management.
- An experienced people leader who creates a positive culture, develops capability and holds teams accountable for performance and outcomes.
- Highly capable in civil infrastructure maintenance, construction and asset management, with the technical credibility to guide operational decision-making.
- Experienced in strategic planning, service delivery, program management and resource optimisation within a complex operational environment.
- A confident decision-maker with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills.
- Passionate about safety, accountability, customer service and delivering value to the community.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, including budget management, procurement, contractor oversight and efficient allocation of resources.
